Youngevity™ Privacy Policy and Statement

Youngevity™ Essential Life Sciences, as well as all wholly owned and affiliated companies within the Youngevity International, Inc. family of companies, respect the privacy needs and concerns of our Distributors and Customers. To earn that trust, we place great importance on how we handle any personal and confidential information. This information includes, but is not limited to names, contact information, as well as any and all financial information that is provided to us either electronically or through our customer service department, or any information that is derived and or generated as a normal course of doing business.

This Statement describes the Personal Information we gather from or about our distributors and or customers, what we do with it, and the safeguards we have in place to protect it.

By interacting with Youngevity; accessing or using any corporate websites; applying for and maintaining a distributor or customer account, or any such similar activity, you agree, without limitation or qualification, to be bound by this Privacy Policy. When you provide Personal Information to our Web sites or Customer Service Call Center, you are consenting to the manner in which the Company will collect, use, disclose, and otherwise manage your Personal Information, as described below.

What information do we collect, derive, and maintain?

We collect information from you when you register with us as a distributor or as a customer, place an order, subscribe to a newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, or any other similar activities. When ordering products or registering as a distributor, as applicable, you may be asked for enroller and or sponsor name and distributor ID, your name, mailing and shipping addresses, e-mail address, phone number, credit card information, and social security number (SSN) or business tax ID number (TIN). In all cases, we rely on this information to be true and correct, and unique to you.

In addition, over the course of doing business together, we may derive certain personal information such as income and or commission information, sales volume(s), Downline and Upline affiliation, and other information about you, your sales performance, and your hierarchal relationships within Youngevity. In all cases, this information is derived based upon the information that you provide and the information supplied and derived as result of the natural growth of the collective hierarchy.

All of this information, designated and personal or otherwise, is either maintained physically in our premises and or electronically in our network of servers, that may be maintained either on our premises or in some other undisclosed and secure location. The exact manner of storage and location of data may change from time to time as dictated by Youngevity’s Chief Technology Officer or by other industry expert consultant, as deemed necessary to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of said information.

What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one or more of the following ways:

As Youngevity relies strongly upon the information provided to create and maintain a sales hierarchy for the proper and consistent disbursement of commissions, our primary use of this information is to create and maintain said hierarchy. The manner and method of commissions disbursement is outlined separately in the current version of Youngevity’s Policies and Procedures, and includes commission and commission override payments, as well as proper reporting of same to State and Federal tax revenue agencies.

Other uses of personal and confidential information include, but may not be limited to the following:

  • Processing of Transactions and Shipment of Product. Personal contact information is used to determine where to ship and where to properly bill our customers and distributors for product(s) purchased.
  • Communication with and within the Company Hierarchy. Personal contact information is used to communicate product, compensation, promotion, and or event information directly to Customers and Distributors.
  • To personalize your experience. Your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs.
  • To improve our website and Customer Service Department. We continually strive to improve our service of your needs based on the information and feedback we receive from you.

To whom do we make information available?

In the normal course of doing business, it is normal, and often essential, to make personal information available to a number of departments and employees within Youngevity Corporate or to a trusted third party who assists us in conducting business, servicing your needs, so long as those parties are bound to, and will keep this information confidential. On occasion, we may also make certain personal and or confidential information available to direct Upline distributor (enroller or placement distributor) or Downline distributors or customers (enrollee) if it is deemed necessary to assist them and or you in the conducting of normal business. In such cases, information will be limited to contact information and or sales data only. At no time does Youngevity disclose personal and confidential financial or tax ID information to anyone, except as described herein, and only under the expressed circumstances.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer any personally identifiable information to any party other than as expressed herein. We reserve the right, however, to release your information when compelled to, and it is deemed necessary to do so in order to comply with the law, enforce our company policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable and or unanimous information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

How do we protect your information?

Through the normal course of business, your personal and confidential information can be accessed one of two ways: Through the Youngevity customer/distributor online “back office”, or via a Youngevity Customer Service Representative. We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information. In all cases, before any orders can be placed, modified, or cancelled, or any other personal information can be accessed, substantial proof of identity must be acquired, either through online ID and password for online access, or by substantial knowledge of non-published esoteric information within your account, that only the owner of said account would possess. Youngevity does not allow any 3rd party transactions.

In addition, we offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and who are required to keep the information confidential. Credit card numbers and expiration dates are not accessible online or by Customer Service Representatives following any transaction, and CVV codes, which are used for verification purposes only, are never retained or stored on any system.

Internal/external competition and fair business practices.

At no time will Youngevity, or any Youngevity employee or assignee, ever use, or assist any other internal or external party in using, any personal or confidential information or esoteric knowledge of any kind of or about you or any other distributor or customer, for the purpose of gaining advantage for or against you, or for or against any other Youngevity distributor or customer to the benefit or detriment of you, any other distributor or customer, or any third party. Youngevity firmly believes in ethical and fair business practices, and values your continued trust above and beyond any gain that could possibly be leveraged by violating any part of this privacy policy.

California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

Children's Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.
